Just finished watching the High Quality ver.

:clapclap:

Excellent production. Must have taken alot of hard work to produce this.

Brilliant racing from all drivers. Well done.

Keep up the good work Becky and everyone else involved.

Looking forward to Round 8 at Blackwood RallyX.

Quote from keiran :That is not what is says. You are interpetating it all wrong.

"The blue flag during the race tells a driver he is about to be lapped and to let the other car overtake, on pain of a time penalty for obstruction"

What this is stating that a waved blue flag is telling the driver he is about to be lapped. He must let the other car overtake. It doesn#t say give up the racing line, all it says you must let him overtake so in other words don't defend the position.

I'm not interpreting it wrong. The driver who is flagged should let the lapping driver overtake, yes? They must let him by or recieve a time penalty.

I just said that that's what I do, pull off the racing line or take the wide line on a corner.

Quote :68. WHAT ARE THE FLAG SIGNALS?
In addition to the red flag, "stopping the race", and the chequered flag, "end of the race", there are other flags, each having a specific meaning. The blue flag during the race tells a driver he is about to be lapped and to let the other car overtake, on pain of a time penalty for obstruction. The yellow flag indicates danger, and overtaking is prohibited. One waved yellow flag means slow down; two waved at the same post means slow down and prepare to stop if necessary.

Just browsed the official FIA site in the FAQ section and found this.LINK So Gunn, I don't know what rules you read but this looks like the flagged driver should pull over to let the faster driver past.

I always, when I am about to be lapped, pull off the racing line or take the wide line on a corner. I don't see the point in holding up a faster driver.

Ok, instead of creating a new thread I'll just keep this one going.

I have watched 4 "Getting Started" tutorials for Blender and thought I'd try something. I went to the LFS Manual site, 3D Render Tutorial and noticed that the CMX Importer is only for 3Ds Max. So does anyone know how I can import/append LFS cars/mesh/wireframes/textures into Blender? Has anyone ever rendered LFS cars with this program? Will I just have to get 3Ds Max the alternative way?

Quote from samyip :Bryce and Blender renders are OK to many people, but not to a professional standard like Mental Ray or Brazil. I saw a lot of Bryce/Blender renders have to use raytrace/reflection heavily to compensate the weakness of their shaders.

Bryce and Blender are capable to do 'some' very good 3D jobs. But software like 3Ds max is capable of doing 'much more'. It is all depend on how much you wanna pay and what your 3d requirements are, more importantly how interested are you in the world of 3D.

Thanks to your post I found that Blender program. Dygear originally posted it as Bender and I couldn't find it.

Reading some tutorials now, hopefully I'll have the hang of it soon.

Anyone else notice that the graphic for the rear left tire temperature is covered by the connection bars in the bottom left corner?(see attachment)

Quote from joen :You could just make a copy of your LFS folder, and install the patch on that one. That way you can always check out the new stuff while keeping your other install "safe" That's what I always do anyway

That's what I have just done. I wasn't to sure about installing it but I asked a couple of questions in the STCC thread and I decided to copy the whole LFS folder and upgrade the copy.

Had a quick race on a W9 server(500Servers) and it looks like LFS is getting more realistic with every patch that comes out. I was waiting to be sent to spectate for false start but never was. No problems so far for me.

Great work.
